V předmětu CAD I se posluchači seznámí s možnostmi špičkového CAD/CAD systému Pro/ENGINEER. Posluchači si osvojí základní prostředky pro vytváření modelů součástí a sestav. A následně s tvorbou výrobní dokumentace.

Subject syllabus:
1) Overview of the most widely used CAD systems. Introduction to Pro / ENGINEER. Presentation of system tools. Philosophy of hard parameterization and full associativity. Sketcher.
2) The extrude and rotation, addition and subtraction of material. Thin models. Editing the model, model tree.
3) Holes, fillet, chamfer, rib. Components mirroring, production paterns.
4) Making reference elements, cuts in models, color palette, tools for model information.
5) Introduction to the assembly. Inserting components into assemblies. Creating new components in assemblies. Model tree of assembly.
6) Working in assemblies, modification assembly and components assembly. Creation of reference elements in the reports. Cuts. Color palette. Merging volumes. Copying elements. Combining volumes.
7) Special types of models, stretching along the curve, stretching more sketches, more sketches stretching along the curve.
8) Creation of drawings
9) Final presentation of Pro / ENGINEER.
