Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The main objective of the course is to acquaint students with the basic issues of financial mathematics in modern finance with real examples and relevant data, so as to understand and be able to use tools of financial mathematics - the calculation of interest, savings, construct the optimal portfolio due to the expected return and risk, orient the the worth of government bonds and financial derivatives.

Summary
Course content:
1. Interest rates (simple and compound interest, yield to maturity and the time value of money, risk and term structure of interest rates), discounting. Discount rate. Calculation of average (mean) value of receivables, average payment periods and interest rates, compound interest, effective interest rate, interest rate and intensity.
2. Future value of annuity. Short-term savings, long term, the current value of the annuity. retirement number, internal rate of amortization.
3. Financial Market (models for allocation of funds in the financial market structure and institutional arrangements of financial markets, financial intermediaries, trends in world financial markets)
4. financial market instruments (the demand for investment instruments, investment instruments: characteristics, types and trading - exchange, OTC, equity and debt instruments, financial derivatives)
5. Valuing shares. valuing bonds and the core principles of the bonds, the sensitivity of bond prices, basics of portfolio expected return, diversification, risk
