Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The subject deals with measuring methods of basic physical quantities used in energetics. Measuring of temperatures, pressures, flow and analysis of gas factors of combustion gases. For education there are used measurement instruments and eguipment of energy department used in technical practice.

Summary
Measuring temperature, pressure, flow and analysis of gaseous components of flue gases. For teaching the use measuring instruments and equipment department of energy used in engineering practice. During lectures and seminars, students are introduced to the operation of instruments and learn the basics of proper application of measuring instruments. The course is excursion to energy facilities in the Ostrava region, usually Detmarovice Power.

Temperature measurement:
Liquid and gas thermometers, RTD, thermocouples, radiation thermometers.
Pressure measurement mass of air, water and steam energy.
Liquid Flow mechanical and electrical equipment.
Measurement of concentrations of gaseous components of flue gas.
Measurement of the concentration of solid particles in the air mass flow.
Measuring the efficiency of boilers and combustion equipment.
Measurement of milling circuits.
Methods of reducing emissions from incinerators.
