Students get acquainted with details of gas thermodynamics, and they acquire some knowledge concerning issues of heat transfer. This knowledge is a prerequisite for deeper understanding of problems regarding efficient generation, transformation, and distribution of thermal energy.

Subject syllabus:

- I.zákon termodynamiky pro uzavřenou soustavu. - Základní zákony a rovnice stavu ideálního plynu, Avogadrův zákon. - Vratné změny ideálního plynu, diagram p-v,T-s, vykonaná práce, sdělené teplo. - Tepelné oběhy přímé a obrácené. II.zákon termodynamiky Entropie,diagramu T-s. - Porovnávací oběhy spalovacích motorů. Ideální a skutečný oběh, výkon. - Rovnotlaké spalovací turbíny. karnotizace oběhu spalovací turbíny. - Stroje na stlačování a dopravu vzdušin. Jednostupňová komprese - Vícestupňová komprese a její důvody. - Zjednodušený výpočet pro reálný plyn. Směsi plynů. Adiabatické míšení plynů. - Páry. Clapeyronova-Clausiova rovnice. Parní tabulky, diagramy T-s a i-s. - Vlhký vzduch a vlhké technické plyny. základní pojmy, Molierův diagram. - Adiabatické proudění plynů a par. Výtoková rychlost. - Stacionární vedení a prostup tepla neomezenou stěnou rovinnou a válcovou. - Výměníky tepla, základ tepelného výpočtu rekuperativních výměníků tepla. - Letecké motory, popis a princip činnosti. - Údržba leteckých motorů.
