Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Learn of basic knowledge for keeper of equipment of water management in energetics. Comprehension and practical realization of treatment water technologies for various utilization in energetics.

Summary

Students come familiar with basic knowledge about water, characteristics of specific types of water in industry, its treatment for various utilization (drinking water, operating water, waste water), water accumulation and water transport.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: 1. Introduction, basic informations about water, water sources. 2. Basic atributes of water, chemical structure, water quality. 3. Basic technologies of treatment of water. Sedimentation. 4. Basic technologies of treatment of water. Filtration and the rest. 5. Equipments for mechanical and physical modification of water. Coarse pollution. 6. Equipments for mechanical and physical modification of water. Fine pollution. 7. Supply of water for factories. 8. Water for energetics. Requirements of water in powerplants. Losses of water. 9. Water for energetics. Consumption, accumulation. 10. Water for energetics. Modification of operating and potable water. 11. Modification of cooling water. Vaporizer cooler. 12. Modification of cooling water. Chemical modification. 13. Modification of feed water. 14. Excursion.
