To fimiliarize student with the basic design proposal and the proposal of reconstruction of equipment in the field of Environmental Engineering.

Summary

Students will be acquainted with the problems of description of the state of the indoor and outdoor thermal environment, heating and thermal properties of buildings, convective and radiant heating, with basic notions in acoustics, methods of noise measurement and noise reduction, with concepts in the field of lighting technology.

Subject syllabus:

- The legislative basis for the design of heating. - Environmental condition - outdoor and indoor thermal environment. - Thermal performance of buildings. - Convective, radiant and warm air heating. - The legislative basis for protection against adverse health effects of noise and vibration. - Basic concepts and definitions in acoustics. - Decibel scale in acoustics, noise criteria. - Acoustic source, noise propagation. - Acoustic noise reduction devices, noise reduction in air conditioning. - Noise measurements. - Legislation in the field of lighting technology. - Meaning and insolation. - The criteria sunshine buildings. Methods of evaluation. - Sizing, design, measurement and control.
