To fimiliarize student with the basic design proposal and the proposal of reconstruction of equipment in the field of Environmental Engineering.

Summary

Students will be acquainted with the problems of description of the state of the indoor and outdoor thermal environment, heating and thermal properties of buildings, convective and radiant heating, with basic notions in acoustics, methods of noise measurement and noise reduction, with concepts in the field of lighting technology.

Subject syllabus:

1. The legislation basis for environment. 2. Environmental condition - outdoor and indoor thermal environment. 3. Air protection - legislation for monitoring of combustion sources. 4. Thermal performance of buildings - legislation. 5. Thermal performance of buildings - heat transfer, thermal looses. 6. Heating - convective, project of heating systems. 7. Heating - radiant, heating panels, light and dark emitter. 8. Legislation in the field of lighting technology. 9. Day lighting - basic informations, atributes, requirements. 10. Artificial lighting - basic informations, parameters of lighting sources. 11. Sound and noise - basic informations for noise transfer. 12. Basic concepts in acoustic, decibel scales in acoustics, noise criterions. 13. Noise measurement, legislation for noise evaluation. 14. Acoustic sources, noise transfer and noise reduction devices.
