Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Preparation of specialists in the field of technology, design and construction of nuclear power plant equipment. The course builds on mastered the material in "nuclear energy" in the BC study, termomechniku and heat and mass transfer. Students acquire detailed knowledge of production technology components of nuclear power plants, learn about the various components of different types of Nuclear Energy, allowing the design and construction solutions in the thesis.

Student získá podrobnější informace z výroby komponent jaderné elektrárny.Seznámi se s materiály, které se používají při výrobě, s výrobou komponent formou kování, tváření, dělení, obrábění a svařování.
Seznámí se s nedestruktivními zkouškami a hodnocením vlivu prostředí v reaktoeru na životnost zařízení.

Subject syllabus:
1. Steel, castings and forgings for nuclear facilities. Forging pressure nádob.Regeneration annealing reactor pressure vessel.
2. Hotwork heat. Hotwork cold.
3. Machines for nuclear engineering.
4. Cutting and machining. Processing of pressure vessels and piping.
5. Radiation damage of materials.Destruktivní and non-destructive testing of materials, intermediate products and parts for nuclear power. Qualification methods, equipment and personnel of selected non-destructive methods.
6. Welding components of nuclear power plants. Welding technology of parts I and II. circuit.
7. Development of new filler materials.
8. Electroslag welding.
9. Non-destructive testing of welds. Certification in welding. New trends in welding of pressure parts .
10. Maintenance, repair and diagnostics of steam generators and compensators volume.
11. Assessing the impact of chemical regimes and the life of steam generators (PG). Test seals and sealing materials for PG and KO. Flow accelerated corrosion, monitoring and evaluation. Evaluation of hydrogen embrittlement.
12. Evaluation of stress corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue. Macro-and microscopic evaluation of the structure defects.
13. Integrity of materials, equipment life. Quality Management System - design, manufacture and installation of nuclear components and systems and technical services for nuclear power plants.
14. Management approaches, monitoring and evaluation of life critical systems, structures and components, selected on the basis of an analysis of damage and their categorization.
