Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the subject is to provide students with the knowledge and basic connections in the field of power machines for ecologization, ie for reducing the negative impact of human activities in the field of power engineering on the environment.
At the end of the subject, students should be able to orientate in following aspects of selected energy machines for ecologization: machine categorization, energy transformation, working processes, basic energy and economic evaluation, measurement and regulation.

Summary
The Power Machines for Ecologization subject builds on the knowledge of students acquired in the courses Physics, Hydromechanics, Thermomechanics. Students will acquire knowledge of the issue of energy transformations in the working process of selected power machines used in ecologization, eg: compressors for cleaning hose filters, ejectors for evacuation or transport of hazardous substances from enclosed areas, exhaust fans, ammonia water pumps, etc.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, students will also gain specific knowledge in exercises through calculations of practical examples. An integral part of the subject is also practical measurements on selected power machines in the laboratory.
The aim of the subject is to help to profile the professional profile of the graduate, which can have for example these jobs: designer of the discussed power machines or as their operator with the knowledge to reduce the negative impacts of different energy systems on the quality of the environment.
