Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Orientation in assignment of compressors, pumps and heat turbines. Knowledge of processes, which characterize energy transformation in compressors, pumps and thermal turbines. Knowledge of energy criteria’s evaluation of energy transformation in compressors, pumps and thermal turbines. Knowledge of economic and environmental consequences of energy transformation in compressors, pumps and thermal turbines. Solution’s proposal of complex of energy processes’ proceeding in machine rooms of heating exchanges.

Summary

Subject follows subjects in Master’s degree program “Compressors, pumps and exhausters” and “Thermal turbines”. In this subject, there are theoretical and practical knowledge of Engineer degree program developed, which are necessary for scientific research of processes in levels of thermal turbines, turbo compressors or displacement compressors and current compressors. They are prerequisite for optimalization of these machines, their constructive and conceptual improvements and integration to heat flow diagram of thermal circuit with higher efficiency.

Efficiency of Power Machines The flow of gases, vapors and liquids through nozzles Residual current devices. Transformation of energy in the degree of radial turbochargers. Importance of the shape of the impeller blades for the construction of RTK. Basic parameters of blade cascades of axial turbochargers. Transformation of energy in the degree of ATK. Fans. Dynamic pumps Energy and hydrodynamic characteristics of turbochargers and turbopumps. Parallel and serial cooperation. Possibilities of increasing the efficiency of the steam circulation. Steam turbine main components, description and principle of operation. Action stage axial steam turbine (AST). The reaction degree of AST. Curtis degree of AST. Power control AST.
