Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The graduate obtains the foundation for the creation of projects in modern projection systems. Graduate can handle efficiently use the available software tools for creating, processing and management of project. Gets the necessary habits designing according to applicable regulations and standards. This course is mainly focused on the software system EPLAN.

Summary
The design of electrical equipment requires the acquisition of knowledge from the areas of relevant legislation and technical standardization. The design of electrical equipment includes the elaboration of conceptual designs and calculations, the elaboration of circuit diagrams, the technological and material specifications to comply with applicable laws, government regulations and decrees.

Subject syllabus:
Lectures:
1. Basic principles and rules in the field of design. Introduction to engineering standards.
2. Structuring principles and reference designations projects - familiarization with IEC 61346-1.
3. Principles of making documents used in electro technology - IEC EN 61082-1 ed. 2.
4. Data structure in EPLAN P8 - storage, parameter files, frames, forms, macros, peripherals.
5. EPLAN P8 environment - familiarity with the user interface, context menus, toolbars, status bar, choice of workspaces, keyboard shortcuts, a description of the navigator.
6. Graphics processing projects - a diagram, inserting graphical elements.
7. Search options appliances and components - database, EPLAN Data Portal.
8. Apparatus - inserting general devices, choice of symbols, setting properties, insert terminals and terminals, terminal strip definition, definition devices.
9. Preparation maker - creating projects macros, create macros blocks, using wildcard objects, inserting macros.
10. Design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) - PLC card creation, processing properties of PLC, PLC addressing, using existing PLC addresses, export PLC addresses.
11. Master Data Management project - the symbol editor, editor forms and frames.
12. Generating Reports and creating output descriptions - establishment of evaluation templates, generating lists of devices and cables, terminal plan generation, plan wiring.
13. Working with vocabulary - the possibilities languages, EPLAN Comparison with other layout tools.
