Summary
This course follows the Electrical Apparatus I course. The theory of the
contacts including constructing materials and methods of design is added to the
theory of switching devices. The main part of this course deals with
classification of switching devices, their characteristics and their design. In
the concluding part of this subject the principles of the calculation of ac
current arc energy are added.
