The subject includes the philosophy of technical diagnostic. They are presentation the types of measurement signal and their adjustment into fitting size and form. It follows project-measuring method, creation measuring strand scheme and connection device to measuring object. Subject also includes chapters devoted to measured data processing and graphic presentation results.

Attendance at all of laboratory works. Processing of laboratory reports in requested date, form and way of delivery. Processing of dated up project. In addition: Of each of task get 1 point minimally. Each of tasks is possible to deliver only once.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: Technical diagnostics philosophy. Measuring strand scheme. Types of measurement signals. Methods of attachment measuring device to measurement object. Measurement signal adjustment into fitting size and form. Voltage divider, shunt, instrument transformer. Galvanic separation of measurement signals. Sensors and converters of electric values. Current and voltage output and their standardisation. Transient phenomenon's measurement. Protection against interference effect on signals transfer. PC Interface - parallel, serial and their use at measurement. Communication methods and used standards. RS 232C, GPIB, IEEE 488, IMS 2, USB, current loop. Device control measurement via PC. Specialised measuring group creation. A/D and D/A converters, their characteristics, structure, operating principle. Converters type and description theirs function. Methods and possibilities software using to measured data processing. Graphic presentation measured results. Manager graphic design. Reciprocal data sharing. Monitoring systems for electric quantities in distribution systems. Diagnostic and optimisation measurement in substation. Manners processing measured data, primary statistic characteristics. Mannerism selection measured data. Special systems for measurement and evaluation necessary electrical quantities in distribution and industrial network concern the electromagnetic compatibility problem. Schedules implemented measurements. Laboratories: Information about the requirements for passing the exercises. Safety considerations. The organization of the work in the labs. Instructions for elaboration of lab task. Project-measuring method, creation scheme measuring strand and connection device to measuring object for higher harmonic voltage measurement. Higher harmonic rate measurement in voltage and current at following source of light: bulb, halogen bulb and compact fluorescent tube with electronic ballast. Process temperature in furnace measurement by thermocouple. Gauge one thermocouple comparison measurement with temperature gauge and perform approximation-acquired dependence. Compare results. Measure the voltage by PC data acquisition card. Sensors and converters electric quantities application. Project multi element system. Computers utilize for control measurement systems by the help of parallel and serial interface. Determine the consumption rheostatic load by the help of MDS. Pre-set MDS for voltage measurement, current and cos fi in one's phase. Draw process consume energy on a time, determine consumption in 1 hour. Determine consumption resistive furnace by the help of MDS at heat up on set temperature and consumption at heating charge. Pre-set MDS for measuring with step 1s, in one's phase for voltage, current and cos fi. Measure the lines resistance. Propose acceptable measuring method. Voltage drop on a line measure by multimeter M1T 380. Use multimeter connection through interface RS 232 to PC. Determine black box characteristics. Fix on AC, DC signal transmission. Following feature determine utilize way. Determine effect compact fluorescent tube with electronic ballast, PC and bulb on supply network by BK 550 analyser. Analyse higher harmonic in the current. At PC give your attention to control consumption mode. At compact fluorescent tube observe time dependence luminace start. From measured value BK 550 analyse the apparent power one day in time 0:00-24:00 in all phases. From process higher harmonic current evaluate there with top level and at the same time the apparent power on this harmonic. Transient phenomenon's in power engineering measurement - PRYM and DEN monitor. Processing measured data with utilization spreadsheet processor. Reciprocal data sharing between different software. Optimization power consumption. Application various method diagnostic measurement. Final evaluation performed practices. Project: Consumption load curve set.
