Summary
This course follows the Electrical Apparatus II course. The theory of the contacts including constructing materials and methods of design is added to the theory of switching devices. The main part of this course deals with classification of switching devices, their characteristics and their design. There is also solved the basic theory of current and voltage transformers according to used construction and insulating materials and its technology of production process. In the concluding part of this subject the principles of the calculation of ac current arc energy are added.
