The students will be learn apply knowledge of the mathematical simulation for technical diagnostics with using programs for solution of the electromagnetic and electromechanical transients.

Lectures: Modelling in the technical diagnostics. Analysis of circuits with using EMTP-ATP. Graphical preprocessor ATPDraw. Characteristic of EMTP-ATP. Selection of model for solution. Examples of using EMTP-ATP in technical diagnostics. Analysis of circuits with using program MODES. Characteristic of program MODES. Use MODES in technical diagnostics. Comparison of programs ATP and MODES. Verification of mathematical model. Exercises: Introduction tutorial. 1st programme. Description EMTP-ATP. Principles of modelling. 2nd programme. End 1st programme. Work with MODES. end 2nd programme Projects: Solution 1st programme EMTP-ATP. Solution 2nd programme MODES. Computer labs: Program EMTP-ATP and its installation. Preprocessor AtpDraw. Postprocessor PlotXWin. Work with ATP. Program MODES and its installation. Projects and cases in MODES. Change of scenario and the presentation. Modelling of experiments.
