Student will be know after completing the course:
- to distinguish basic types of interference,
- to describe terms of electrical power disturbances (harmonics, flicker, unbalance),
- to analyse measurement of power quality parameters.

Lectures: 1.-Definition of terms, electrical power disturbances, compatibility level. 2.-Voltage characteristics. 3.-Harmonics in electrical networks. 4.-Measurement of harmonics and harmonic analysis. 5.-Source of harmonics, their propagation and disturbing effects. 6.-Frequency characteristics - calculation, measurement. 7.-Level reduction of harmonics, capacitors in electrical networks. 8.-Passive and active filters of harmonics. 9.-Flicker, voltage fluctuation. 10.-Voltage dips and interruptions. 11.-Influence of nonsymetrical load to network, voltage unbalance. 12.-Monitoring of power quality. 13.-Technical tools for monitoring quality parameters. 14.-Standardization of electrical power disturbances and EMC
