Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

After passing this class student is able to: define the basic ideas from the area of diagnostics, explain individual diagnostic methods, apply these methods in practice, can get oriented in localization of failures, can calculate and measure the diagnostic parameters, can interpret findings and is able to demonstrate technical thinking and creative attitude in dealing with new problems.

Summary

The technical diagnostic is entire part of areas from electric power engineering. The problem of basic diagnostic methods is solved within this subject. Theoretical knowledge students can verifies within some experimental laboratory exercises.

1. Basic concepts in diagnostics 2. Diagnostics of asynchronous motors 3. Diagnostics of alternators 4. Diagnostics of transformers 5. Diagnostics of electric arc in the distribution systems 6. Diagnostics of supply mains as for voltage variation 7. Diagnostic methods to determine the residual life of electrical appliances
