Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will learn how to do project of the electrical installation in residential and industrial buildings by passing this course.

Summary

This subject acquaints students with problems of internal electric distributions in objects of housing and civil construction, including basis of system technique of buildings, with design and structure of electric power distributions in industry plants, with directions for lining of power electric mains, electric installation due to external influences, electric installation in special objects (shower, swimming pools, sauna). Thsi subject also deals with problems of LV connections, placement of interconnecting board and measuring device, artificial light of indoor space, outside lightning, flash and overvoltage protection including grounding. The students will be acquainted with CAD systems for project activity. There will be set individual project.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: - Interior wiring, main building line, lighting and socket circuits. - Electrical devices for one purpose and in special objects (showers, swimming pools, - Projecting and construction of electrical main distributions in industrial objects, installed power, demand coefficient, supply degrees of electrical energy Regulations for power transmission line laying. Building system technology - Outside influences, IP-code, electrical installation performing according to outside influences. - CAD systems for the projecting support LV line and cable supply mains, measuring set locating and connecting, payment kinds for electric power - Arteficial lighting of indoor spaces, basic terms, lighting categories, lighting devices, sources, illumination, lighting calculation. Outdoor ligting. - Protection against lightning and overvoltages - Vertical and horizontal transportation Exercises: - Examples intented on protection against electric current injury - Design documentation, projecting rules - Public project defences Laboratories: 1. Ground resistance measurement 2. Earth resistivity measurement 3. Interior lighting installation, circuits connecting Projects: 1. Lighting installation project of chosen object 2. Protection against lightning project of chosen object
