Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to teach students to work independently on a given professional topic. It is important preparation for diploma work and other professional work in employment.

Summary

The semestral work is a individual work of students in the range of 4 hours per week in a laboratory. Choice of topic of the work depends on the specialization of student. Topics of semestral works are writing out by lecturers of obligatory subjects or elective subject of the specialization of student.

Individually recommended literature for the semestral work.

Recommended literature:

Directives for working out of bachelor and diploma thesis. FEI, VŠB-TU Ostrava, 2018. Norms: ČSN ISO 690, ČSN 010 194.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Průběžná kontrola studia: Samostatný laboratorní projekt je průběžně konzultován s vedoucím projektu. Termín odevzdání samostatného laboratorního projektu, v elektronické nebo písemné formě, ve 14. týdnu. Obsah a forma hodnoceného projektu: Samostatný projekt obsahuje dokumentaci k algoritmizaci zadaného projektu a k případnému připravenému programovému vybavení realizující řešení projektu. Dokumentace je zpracována na počítači. V případě hardwarové realizace student umístí svůj realizovaný projekt v příslušné laboratoři.

Each student can choose this optional subject at the start of the semester. He chooses one of the projects listed by the guarantors of each subject in the given semester according to the focus.
