Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The knowledge needed to good orientation in the principles of simulation and testing of electric and electronic systems in the automotive industry, will be achieved. The obtained knowledge should be a part of the general knowledge of testing engineer in electronics and automotive areas.

Summary
The subject focuses on the verification of electrical and electronic systems for automotive applications by computer simulation and testing. Namely the systems which consist of electronic control units for automotive electronics systems. For the simulations and testing there are used special software and special testing hardware. The prerequisites of this subject are electronics, simulation and testing procedure for automotive.

Conditions for credit:
Pass through 2 checking tests in regular terms.
Elaboration and physical implementation of the semester project.

Lectures:
- Introduction to the means of computer simulation and testing of automotive electronic systems.
- Creation of simulation models for testing applications.
- Real Time simulation - FPGA applications.
- Test specification - concepts, design and test specification processing.
- Preparation of test applications - claims processing, construction of the testing device, connection of the test object.
- Creation of tests - testing logic, software for creating tests.
- Creation of tests - test structures, continuity.
- Creation of tests - text programming.
- Creation of tests - graphical programming.
- Tests compilation.
- Implementing tests into the test application.
- Test protocols - structure, results, processing.
- Special testing applications.
Exercises:
- Safety training of working in the laboratories, introduction to the content of exercises and requirement
for the credit.
- Assignment of semester project (hereinafter SP) - in the specifications, process solutions.
- Simulation model design in MATLAB / Simulink environment.
- Preparing the simulation model for the testing application.
- Creation of simulation model, according to SP.
- Compile the simulation model for the testing application.

- Creation of test tasks - text-based programming.
