The target of this subject is getting and mastering of knowledge, which enables good orientation in basic equipment automotive electrical engineering.

Summary

The course introduces the basic elektrotechnics devices on cars, their principles and functions, operating conditions and technical implementation.

Compulsory literature:

Denton, Tom: Automobile Electrical and Electronic Systems. Publisher: Routledge 2012.

Recommended literature:

Manual Bosch, yellow line: Sensors in motor vehicles Control of combustion engine Safety and comfort systems

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Verification of study: Control tests. Conditions for credit: Obligatory participation in laboratory exercises In general 10 laboratory exercises are assessed max. 2 points, i. e. max. 20 points from laboratory exercises Obligatory finishing of 2 tests in regular term. Test is assessed max. 10 points, i. e. max. 20 points from tests. At repetition test is assessed only 80% achieved points Student can obtain from exercises max. 40 points, for conferment inclusion it is necessary achieve min. 25 points

Lectures: Dynamo, alternator Accumulator Starter Ignition Lightig Electromotors, electromagnets Sensors, on-board equipment Motormanagement Management of the chassis and gearbox The safety and comfort systems Security systems Alternative Drives Exercises: Safety and Control Laboratory, familiar with the contents of exercises Alternator Accumulator On-board power supply system Ignition TEST 1 Temperature, speed and position sensors Motion mechanisms Alternative Drives On-board diagnostics TEST 2 Repetition, tuition, revisions of tests, duplicate laboratory example Laboratories: Measurement of alternator Measurement of accumulator Measurement of voltage regulator Measurement of ignition Measurement of temperature, speed and position sensors Measurement of electromotors Measurement of DC/DC converter Measurement of electromobile Projects: Summary results of the processing labs.
