Understand the applications of digital systems and their design using programmable logic devices. Learning outcomes are set so that the students are able to identify and tasks in the field of programmable logic elements.

Summary

Software design of programmable logic elements, language VHDL. Fundamental programmable logical element architectures - AND/OR matrixes, PROM, PAL, PLA, GAL. Fundamental elements of PLD higher integration. CPLD and FPGA. Properties PLD. Programming manners and testing - ISC and BS. Practical design from combinational logical circuits, sequential logical circuit up to their realization in reprogrammable PLD.
