Summary
The subject Communication Networks is oriented on an overview of all important developing network technologies for the transmission of various types of information like voice, data, video or multimedia information. It includes circuit-switched and packet-switched networks. An attention is also dedicated to optical transmission networks that create an inseparable part of a network communication infrastructure, various network procedures for a connection establishment with the specified service quality and fundamentals of the network management. It is also interested in LAN networks, WAN networks, Internet, access networks and various wireless technologies.
