Summary

The subject Network Technologies I is oriented on an overview of all important developing network technologies for the transmission of various types of information like voice, data, video or multimedia information. It includes circuit-switched and packet-switched networks. An attention is also dedicated to optical transmission networks that create an inseparable part of a network communication infrastructure, various network procedures for a connection establishment with the specified service quality and fundamentals of the network management. It is also interested in LAN networks, WAN networks, Internet, access networks and various wireless technologies.
