After course finishing student will be knowing the principles of electronic equipment design. Learning outcomes are set in such way that the students are able to identify, apply and solve tasks of electronic equipment design.

Quality of elements, reliability, cut-off frequency, production margins, standard value series. Manufacturability, repeatability, prindted circuit boards, cooling. Thermoelectricity, thermoelement, Peltier element, thermostat, electronic thermometer (diode thermometer), thermistor, pyrometer. Electrodynamics, environment impedance transformation, loudspeaker, resonators. CRT, thermoemission, videoamplifiers, deflection, luminophores. El. safety, leakage currents, safety classes, internal resistence, circuit breakers. Power supplies, transformers, voltage doublers, voltage multiplier, switch-mode power supply, efficiency, EMC. Interference, coupling, grounding, electrical and magnetic fields attenuation, humidity, photosensitivity, microphony.

Lectures: Technical system. Block diagram, test points, inputs, outputs. Vector diagram, transfer of magnitude and phase, pulse response. Products categorization. Elektricity generation, distribution and consumption. Resonators, series and parallel RLC circuits, quality. Components, their quality, margins, reliability, cut-off frequency, standard value series. Diodes, differencial resistence, TCE, capacitance, diode types. Product: volume, weight, appearance, operation, compatibility, reliability, servis, price, consumption, efficiency, technical aesthetics. Transistor, parameters, gain, distortion, noise, cut-off frequency. Design criterions: manufacturability, repeatability, PCB, interference, cooling, el. safety. Components list: value, type, margins, TCE, allowed aging, dissipation, warm-up, failure intensity, price. Failure rate, failure rate thermal acceleration, degradation, Arhein equation, failure intensity, overload degradation. Electro-thermal analogy. Thermal capacitance, heat pump. Cooling by radiation. Integral thermoradiation, cooler surface, main radiation frequency. Wire resistor, bulb, power coaxial cable. Cooling by conduction. Familiarization with subject content, safety in laboratories, conduction excercises, ceramic resistor, warm-up. 2. Diode, diode in limiting states, calculations. 3. Analog and switched power supplies, interference, power supply design, step-up, step-down, inverting converters, converters with transformer. 4. Radioelectronic - calculations. 5. Optocouplers, types, calculations, linear optocoupler, frequency characteristic. 6. Amplifier - calculations. 7. Protection in electronic, fuses, polyswitches, electronic fuse design, varistors, transils, spark gap. 8. Cooling in electronic, emissivity, black object, heat pipe, Peltier couple. 9. Galvanic cell, charge, power, energy, capacity, power consumption, discharging curve, teoretic voltage, internal resistivity, optimal current. 10. Electroacoustic - microphone, loudspeaker, piezo transducter, resonance frquency. Laboratories: 11. Measuring of switched power supply with MC34063A circuit. 12. Measuring of transformers, transformers EI, RF, HV, toroid and potty transformers, accumulated energy, optocouplers, transfer and frequency characteristics. 13. Measuring of protecting elements - fuses (speed of breaking by continuing current, speed of braking by pulse current), polyswitches, electronic fuse, varistors and transils. 14. Coolers, Peltier couple measurements.
