Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The graduate of the course Network Infrastructure will gain a basic awareness of building network infrastructure in small local area networks and in large computer networks. These networks contain network elements and server solutions. After completing this course, the student will be able to properly design a computer network for specific purposes.

Summary

Network infrastructure is a very important part of any computer network. Its correct initial design and avoidance of system errors can facilitate its future expansion, or ensuring elementary safety already during its design. The course "Network Infrastructure" will offer students the opportunity to pick up the basics of computer network design with a focus on structured cabling, routers, switches, addressing, server solutions, backup, security and more.
