Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The subject aims to acquaint students with advanced methods of design, realization, and implementation of fiber-optic sensor systems in Industry 4.0 and in the concept of SMART City. An essential part of fiber-optic sensor systems are methods of information evaluation - advanced methods of signal processing and their methods of interpretation will be discussed.

Summary
Předmět se věnuje základním i pokročilým metodám návrhu, realizace a implementace optovláknových senzorických systémů v Průmyslu 4.0 a konceptu SMART City. Důraz bude kladen na využití Braggovských mřížek (konvenčních nebo polymerních optických vláken), optovláknových interferometrů, senzorů intenzitních, polarizačních i distribuovaných. Podstatnou částí senzorických systému je způsob vyhodnocení informace – probrány budou pokročilé metody zpracování signálů a jejich metody interpretace.
