Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Obtaining of theoretical knowledges from microprocessors control systems area of type MCS-96 SAB80C166 and practical experiences with their designs and applications. Learned information extends the knowledges base of electrical engineer, especially if his topic is aimed in area of application microprocessors control systems at control of electric drives.
Teaching methods
Summary
Subject deals with microprocessors systems of type MCS-96. Here is analyzed basic description of systems, their structures. There is also presented some basic typical applications. Subject solves problems of implement peripheries with continuation in electric drives. It is introduced basic instruction set and programs. Second part deals with basic characteristics microprocessor SAB80C166 family.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Verification of study:
Checking test TEST No.1, TEST No.2 (see exercise)
Conditions for credit:
Obligatory participation in laboratory exercises. In general 4 laboratory exercises are assessed max. 5 points, i. e. max. 20 points from laboratory exercises.
Obligatory finishing of 2 tests in regular term. Test is assessed max. 10 points, i. e. max. 20 points from tests. At repetition test is assessed only 80% achieved points.
Student can obtain from exercises max. 40 points, for conferment inclusion it is necessary achieve min. 25 points.

Lectures:
Summarization of basic knowledges in analog, digital and microprocessor techniques.
Characterization of 16 bit microprocessors and control systems. Principle design structure of processor unit.
Overview of evolution of type 96.
Structure of processor unit with processor 80C196KB, KC, MC.
Memory organization, select memory space.
Characterization of microprocessors architecture of 80C196KB, special function registers, overview of on-chip peripheral.
Configure registers CCR, protection of internal program memory, state word and WDT.
Direct memory access DMA, timers of processor.
Unit of quick input and output, pulse - width modulator.
Analog digital converter, serial link.
Universal input and output, user's ports.
Interrupt, handling, time curves, mask of interrupts.
Multiprocessing commutation, structure of microprocessor 80C166KC, 80C196MC.
Structure of micro controller SAB80C166.
Exercises:
Modification of analog and digital signals for processing at 16-th bit MCS, assignment of semestral work.
Measuring at hardware 196. Debugging resources (simulators, emulators).
TEST Nr.1 - practice of lectured themes.
TEST Nr.2 - submission of semestral works, consultation to assessment.
