Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Main target of the subject is to obtain theoretical knowledge of microprocessor control systems and practical experiences about their design and applications. Obtained knowledge is a part of general knowledge of electrical engineer especially if he deals with applications of microprocessor control systems of electric drives.
Teaching methods
Summary
Subject increases basic knowledge of microprocessor technics. It deals with
excellent knowledge of modern microprocessor control systems and design
problems of each parts of microprocessor systems for applications of controlled
electrical drives.

Lectures:
Requirements of microprocessor control systems, block scheme of single-processor and multiprocessor system, description of basic blocks.
Sensors, adjustment of analog and digital signals for processing in 16-bits microcontrollers.
Hardware solution of various microcontrollers, examples.
Digital processing of input signals, A/D converters, D/A converters.
Digital signal processing.
Digital processing of output impulse signals.
Communication with superior system and keyboard. Serial interface.
Development of application software.
Debugging of regulation structure blocks.
Application of programmable logic controls in electric drives.
