Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main target is to obtain theoretical knowledge of controlled AC drives, multiple motor drives, servo-drive and practical experiences and their applications. Obtained knowledge is part of general knowledge of electrical engineer especially, if he deals with applications of electric drives.

Teaching methods

Summary

The subject deals with basic fundamentals and function of controlled DC and AC electrical drives. Contens are based on knowledge of electronics, power electronics, electric machines and control theory.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: Methods of analysis and synthesis of control circuits. Control and regulation of D.C. drives current. Control and regulation of converters with forced commutation. Vector control of A.C. control drives. Digital control of speed and position. Adaptive control of drive with model and without model. Regulation and optimal motion control with respecting non-linearity and elastic component.
