The fundamental subject aim is to get more deeply acquainted with microcomputer control systems with digital signal processors.

Teaching methods

Summary

The subject develops base knowledges in microprocessor techniques. It aims one´s effort to knowledge of modern signal processors Texas Instruments and their applications.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: DSP general description. Lists the key features and presents some typical applications. DSP architectural overview, CPU registers, memory and cache, data formats and floating point operation, comunication ports and DMA coprocessors. Assembly language instructions Software aplications. Hardware aplications Summarizes the TMS 320 family of products. Signal processor TMS 320C50, TMS 320C40, TMS 320C240.
