Understud basic principles of antenna properties. Distinguish term polarization, radiation pattern, power gain, radiation resistance, bandwith, effective aperture, power transfer and reciprocity.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
• Continuous verifying of student knowledge in the numerical exercises in a form of debate and inquiries to achieve student active participations in study process. Identify, deduce and search of problem solving and their interpretation by students.
• Term work and projects on a given theme on the basis of selection, investigation, ordering and final compilation of facts and their processing into final form of given theme.

Antenna properties, Antenna types, Elementary antennas (The isotrope, Herzian dipole, Short antenna, Loop antena, Half wave dipole, Helical antenna, Frequency-indipendent antennas), Wire antennas (Vertical monopole, Horizontal wire - in free space x near ground, Rhomboic antenna), Antenna arrays (Two point sources, N radiators, pattern multiplication, Typical arrays, Array scanning), Microwave antennas (Horn antennas, Parabolic reflector, Slot antennas, Lenses, Array synthesis).
