Summary

The scope of bachelor seminar is advising of information and rules for the preparing of bachelor diploma work. Information is related to text formatting, language quality, content and range of the bachelor diploma work, and electronic version of the work. Next information is related to organize, time table and headway of the state bachelor examination. There are also consultations with lecturers and the self individual elaboration of bachelor diploma work.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Continuous assessment: Training section: Mandatory attendance at all teaching hours. Project part: Each student is continuously controlled by the head of the thesis. Terms of the credit: Credit from undergraduate seminars will be awarded based on the presentation state solution thesis before a committee made ​​up of department staff.The committee give a recommendation to the bachelor thesis leader to credit the work. The presentation must include the following: 1st Title, author, manager, workplace 2nd Bachelor and master theses 3rd Analysis of issues 4th Overall solution procedure 5th State solution to work 6th Demonstration of existing results 7th Timetable for further work 8th End It is expected that the student presents a particular state solution works and has solved at least 50% of the thesis. Scope of the presentation about 10 pages, presentation of maximum period of 10 minutes + 5 minutes for questions (total time 15 minutes - the same as for the state exam) Presentation of the results in the form of pictures or photographs. Not later than one week before the defense must surrender the document from 10 pages for bachelor's thesis work of Head (in electronic or printed form required by the manager) and in electronic form on the server http://moodle.cs.vsb.cz. Emitted by the document format *. pdf The document should be respected for the production of bachelor's and master's thesis put forward in the teaching faculty of the seminar and published on the web of the faculty.

Educational section 1st Formal page DP (1st week) DP structure, requirements for "winter defense" Understanding the rules Cooperation with the company and the secret Formal arrangement of BP and SP (margins, etc.) Practical examples in Word. The structure of BP and DP according to the rules (the analysis of the contents of each section) 2nd Advanced software tools for DP (Week 2) Word for BP High-quality image (Visio, ConceptDraw) Alternative to Word - LATECH 3rd Quotes and work with the literature (Week 3) Why, where, how to cite Citing Practical exercises Electronic literature sources and work with them 4th Good presentation of DP (Week 4) An examination of knowledge of citation Form of presentation The recommended structure of the presentation The content of each slide Errors in presentation Introduction to Rhetoric Good examples of presentation and presentation of bad 5th Consultation for DP formal problems, the presentations (2 weeks before the winter defense) 6th The defense of the current state of the thesis before a committee Project part: Individual thesis each student Laboratories: Work on the design and implementation of the thesis in the laboratory, and consulting with undergraduates
