Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The objective of the course Project 1b is to practice with students the methodology of problem solving in the project team. Competencies gained in this course:
• Ability of complex problems solving in project teams
• Ability to manage the project team
• Ability to communicate effectively in project team
• Ability to document the problem solving procedure
• Ability to prepare the effective presentation of project results
These skills students will practice on typical projects from the application area addressed by the study program Information Technology for the digital world.

Summary
The main motivation of this course which is continuing of course Project 1a is to practice with students how to think about problems and their solutions like engineers. For today's industry is very typical to work in project teams – this course is organised this way.
Students should learn by working in project teams how to solve engineering projects (problems) in the application area defined by their study program. In this phase the focus will be oriented to practising of project management, to effective communication in project team and to testing of project solutions, to systematic documentation of project solving and mainly to preparation of effective presentation of project results.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
The continuous control of knowledge during the semester will be performed through discussion of the documented outcomes in the various project solving phases presented by a team of students. The quality of these outputs will be scored assessed as part of the overall assessment of the subject.

1. Recap of project assignment and decomposition of the problem, the project plan and current achievements
2. Project management, synchronization process of project team members
3. Communication within the project team
4. Documentation of problem solving procedure

7. Completion of the project documentation
8. Final presentation of project results
