Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to educate students in basic electronic measurement techniques, especially in biomedicine. The students should be able to make an evaluation of the measured system functionality on the basis of theoretic system analysis and performed measurements. To introduce the principles of gauges in the biomedical instrumentation.

Summary

The course deals with the description and use of electronic devices used specifically in biomedicine. It follows the basic subject of electrical measurements, which is taught in the first year of bachelor study. It provides measuring instruments for measuring both electrical and non-electrical quantities. Selected signal parameter measurements are performed in time and frequency domains. Part of the course is also measurement of signals in digital systems by a logical analyzer.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Verification of study: 4 tests of continuous control. Conditions for credit: The student\'s classification is based on 4 tests 5 points each, a total of 5-20 points and 4 protocols from measuring 5 points each, a total of 10-20 points. Students have to perform 8 laboratory measurements and achieve min. 10 points from tests and min. 10 points of the protocols, max. is possible to get 40 points. Exam - written part: 25 - 50 pts. Oral part of exam: 5 - 10 pts. Minimum sum total points: 51 - 100.

Subject syllabus:

Laboratoře: 1. Školení bezpečnosti v laboratoři. Použití laboratorního zdroje. Seznámení se souborem měřicích úloh. 2. Měření s analogovým a číslicovým voltmetrem. 3. Test průběžné kontroly. Měřicí úloha s osciloskopem - základní měření napěťových průběhů. 4. Měřicí úloha s osciloskopem - měření dílčích parametrů signálů. 5. Měřicí úloha s osciloskopem - Lissajousovy křivky. 6. Test průběžné kontroly. Měřicí úloha s logickým analyzátorem - přípravek s binárním čítačem. 7. Měření akustického tlaku se zvukoměrem. 8. Měření s čítačem - měření frekvence a stability frekvence signálu krystalového oscilátoru. 9. Test průběžné kontroly. Laboratorní měření se spektrálním analyzátorem. 10. Měření VA charakteristiky žárovky a Zenerovy diody. 11. Můstková měření - Wheatstoneův můstek, vyhodnocení měření. 12. Rezerva. Náhradní měření. 13. Test průběžné kontroly. Udělení zápočtu.
