Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is extending of student's knowledge in the field of programmable logic controllers. The main accent insists on practical application development for different types of control problems.
After passing the course, students are able to develop complex applications based on programmable controllers and they are able to use whole range of PLC´s features. They also get overview about new trends on the field of industrial control systems.

Summary
The course follows bachelor courses - Logic control systems and programmable controllers and Development and visualization of control systems. Lectures attend to practical using of programmable logic controllers in control applications. In practical exercises at laboratory, students extend their skills from previous courses, they program special PLC functions, realize direct control from PC and create models of technological processes. The students work also with PLC types that they don't know from previous courses (Rockwell Automation, Teco).
