Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of this subject is to introduce students with the principles, organization and the form of studying on the technical universities wit the biomedical alignment and medical faculties the benefit of this subject is also the improvement of communication between technicians and medics in the sphere of biomedicine and medical electronics. Acquired knowledge and skill in this subject and the whole alignment forms the basic presumption of knowledge of biomedical engineering.

The content of the lectures
The high school of the CZECH REPUBLIC. The special features of higher education studies. Structure study of the medical sciences. Each stage of the study of medical workers. Articles for major biomedical sciences.
An overview of the history and the history of medicine and health care from the very beginning.
Public health care. Organisation and management of health care-organizational structure in the Czech Republic. Management of medical equipment and insurance.
Status and mission in society. The basic obligations of the health workers. The staff of the Department of health-health and other professionals. Administrative activities in the health sector.
Civilisation diseases caused by physical and chemical factors and their effect on human health. Monitoring of pollution environment. The prevention of disease. Ecological engineering.
The right to health. The legal context of the provision of health care in the field.
Medical morality and ethics. Hippocratic oath. Ethics and their relationship to the technical staff.
Psychology and communication. Medical terminology for communication in health care.
The issue of the methodology of scientific research.
Management and quality management in health care. Management of medical devices (medical devices).
Health legislation. Laws, decrees, regulation of the Government and others.
Technical legal standards and regulations in force in the health sector. Electrical regulations.
Biomedical engineer, registered expertise according to § 27, no 96/04Sb., as amended. The application of the graduates of the BMI in the health sector.
