To make student acquianted with methods of measurement automatisation, methods of virtual measurement instrument design. The topic is explained by using "G" graphical programming language.

Students get familiar with measurement tasks automation. The topic is explained by using "G" graphical programming language. The subject is focused on SW application design, solving problems of data acquisition and data processing. The subject contain use cases focused on multifunction data acquisition boards for PC, PXI and embedded system cRIO. Digital data processing is emphasized. Project-based approach is applied in the teaching process.

Student will elaborate project with theme close to doctor study subject. The amount of work is approximately 140 hours.

Multifunctional data acquisition boards as the basic element for building measurement instrument based on virtual instrumentation principle.
Communication with measurement instruments using SCPI based commands, instrument drivers, their development and usage.
Digital signal processing library, using advanced signal processing functions in typical applications, their special behavior.
Automated test and measurement system methodology.
Using PXI systems in advanced aplications with high demands on HW.
Systems for visual inspection, vision library functions.
cRIO based application development, basic principles, typical applications.
