Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

This subject is focussed to selected techniques of measurement in communication systems - some methods of generating and analysis of digitally modulated signals used in modern communication systems will be presented. This subject is upgrade of Measurement in communication systems, which is offered in master level of study. Basic classes of measuring instruments dedicated for this area are described in this subject, together with methods, which are specified by international standards.

Subject syllabus:

1. Communication systems based on digital modulation 2. Vector signal generators - instruments for generating of digitally modulated signals 3. Vector signal analyzers - instruments for analysis of digitally modulated signals 4. Basic parameters of digitally modulated signals 5. Real systems used digitally modulated signals 6. Flexible SW oriented systems for generating and analysis of digitally modulated signals
