Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course focuses on principles, design, the realization of eHealth approaches for the purpose of health monitoring, improvement of the quality of life of physically and mentally handicapped people, therapeutic applications and fitness applications.

Summary
Key areas of interest include assistive technologies, information and communication technologies for mediating a machine with a person with mental or physical disabilities, controlled home rehabilitation with the support of modern sensory systems for objectivization of the rehabilitation process and proper implementation of rehabilitation exercises. Integration of these systems is also included. Using existing knowledge of students in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices will be lectured and practically practiced their possible applications in the above-mentioned areas. The necessary knowledge and skills in the areas of body sensor networks, eHealth approaches, assistive technologies, User interface design and an effective way of interpreting measured data for users and experts will be added.
Learning outcomes of the course focus on the principles, design, implementation and commercial applications of eHealth approaches to monitor health status, improve the quality of life of physically and mentally handicapped people, therapeutic applications and fitness applications.
Using existing knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices students will be lectured and practically practiced their possible applications in theabove mentioned areas. The necessary knowledge and skills in the areas of body sensor networks, eHealth approaches, assistive technologies, User interface design and an effective way of interpreting measured data for users and expert doctors will be added.
