Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course deals with general principles in the field of e-health, remote diagnostics, and therapy. The main areas of interest are principles of design and implementation of Body Sensor Networks. Students will be acquainted with the requirements for construction and implementation of sensors and instrumentation for measuring biological quantities suitable for eHealth applications, a methodology for development and implementation of new sensory solutions for specific diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Summary
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject deals with wearables and pliable sensors. Key areas of interest are miniaturized biosensors suitable for both wearable and implantable devices, biocompatibility and materials to ensure long-term use of sensors, low-power wireless communication, integrated circuits and systems, energy harvesting, autonomous sensing, standards and integration to existing systems. Also included are non-battery solutions for modern wearable sensors, technical means, and principles of their implementation.
