Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to familiarize the students with contemporary modern special technology and technologies used in modern medicine. Students will be able to apply the knowledge and design elements or devices of medical instrumentation or parts thereof. They will also be able to participate in teamwork of methods and SW applications that are often used in special healthcare technology. The topics are focused on infusion and hemodialysis technology and technology, robotic and automated systems in health care, methods, techniques and technology of biological material processing, medical technology used in gerontology, as well as technology and technologies for the support of e-health.

The subject deals with selected special instrumentation and technologies used in medicine. The subject deals with the theoretical knowledge and applications of scientific knowledge oriented in the area of methods and techniques for support and preservation of life functions, but also in the areas of modern healthcare such as its automation, robotics and specialized medical technology.
