Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students obtain knowledge of basic notions from high volt technique and they will understand phenomena and connectivities of high volt technique. Students will be able use the knowledge by high volt devices dimensioning.

Teaching methods

Summary

High Volt provides theoretical base of electric strength, shows its applications for insulation dimensioning of electrical devices by respect of overvoltages. It describers device of test laboratories and high volt measurements problematic. Basic knowledge is completed with EMC, technical diagnostic, electrostatic and use of discharges.
