Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the basic rules in electrical engineering, electrical circuits, measuremet of electrical quantities, semiconductor technique, electric appliances and transformers. Students will be able to solve simplier electric circuits, measure basic electrical quantities and orientate in practical applications of the studied areas. The aim of the subject is also to gain basic knowledge from given area enabling good orientation and ability of professional communication. Gained knowledge can be utilized in practice or following study.

Summary

The subject is focused on basic knowledge from the field of general electrical enegineering and work safety on electrical device.It brings students a basic overview from theory of electrical circuits, measurement of electrical and nonelectrical quantities, electrical instruments, basic electronic components and their applications and introduction into electrical not rotating machines, including transformers.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

• Short enter tests before starting of each laboratory measurement to examine of student readiness to make measurement • Reports from each measurement processed on the base of measured values from these measurements and their subsequent processing, completing and assessing. • Continuous verifying of student knowledge in the numerical exercises in a form of debate and inquiries to achieve student active participations in study process. Identify, deduce and search of problem solving and their interpretation by students. • Tests from numerical exercises, eventually from chosen theoretical circuits • Term work and projects on a given theme on the basis of selection, investigation, ordering and final compilation of facts and their processing into final form of given theme.

Subject syllabus:

1. Shrnutí základních poznatků z fyziky, zákonů v elektrotechnice (terminologie, teorie elektronové a iontové vodivosti, statická elektřina, atd.). Úvod do základů teorie el. obvodů (zdroje, prvky, zapojení, atd.). 2. Základy teorie el. obvodů (prvky, vodivost látek, práce a výkon DC el. proudu, přechodové děje v DC obvodech). 3. Základy bezpečnosti při práci s elektrickým zařízením, účinky proudu na člověka, základní pravidla a způsoby ochrany před úrazem elektrickým proudem. 4. Základy elektrického měření (obsah, účel, pojmy, metody, rozdělení a vlastnosti měřicích přístrojů, měření elektrických a vybraných neelektrických veličin). 5. Střídavé (AC) elektrické obvody (úvodní teorie a srovnání s DC, vznik střídavého napětí, soustavy, popis, parametry a jejich určení, obvodové veličiny s prvky R, L, C). 6. Střídavé elektrické obvody – jednofázové AC obvody (výkony, účinnost, účiník, princip kompenzace účiníku). 7. Třífázové AC obvody, vznik soustavy, vlastnosti, zapojení zdrojů a spotřebičů (výkony, řešení obvodů, využití). 8. Základní poznatky o magnetismu a magnetických obvodech - úvodní teorie, terminologie, veličiny, základní pravidla a zákony, rozdělení materiálů, vlastnosti, použití v elektrických zařízeních. 9. Elektrické přístroje nn - rozdělení, funkce, jistící a spínací přístroje, chrániče, základní rozdělení, popis konstrukce a činnosti jednotlivých druhů elektromagnetů, vlastnosti, použití. 10. Základy polovodičové techniky - přechod P-N, diody, tranzistory, tyristory, triaky, V-A charakteristiky těchto prvků, základní aplikace v elektrických zařízeních. 11. Základy logické řízení - rozdělení, kontaktní řízení, bezkontaktní řízení. 12. Polovodičové měniče – definice, použití; základní zapojení polovodičových usměrňovačů - vlastnosti, průběhy důležitých veličin při různých druzích spotřebičů, určení střední hodnoty výstupního napětí pro daná zapojení, použití. 13. Polovodičové měniče - střídače, měniče napětí, pulzní měniče a měniče kmitočtu – jejich rozdělení a základní popis principů činnosti, vlastnosti, použití v aplikacích. 14. Elektrické stroje - definice a základní rozdělení. Transformátory - rozdělení, popis konstrukce a činnosti, provozní stavy, vyjádření vlastností a parametrů, měření jednofázového transformátoru, použití.
