Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the subject is to provide students with the project management in electrical engineering and software tools using in different stages of the life cycle project. After graduation this subject students can know to schedule and manage the life cycle project, to use application software and to co-operate in teamwork.
Teaching methods
Summary
The content of this subject will be familiarization with Information Systems applied in practise in preliminary and production phases in heavy-current electric apparatus. There will be elaborated the CAE area for applications in sub-fields CAD, CAP and CAT for design and production of documentation, calculation, technical preparations and production.Students will be within this subject informed about concrete applications for designs of single component, their dimensioning and protection. Within exercises, there will be solved practical applications and students will elaborate given project separately.

Recommended literature:
Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
• Short knowledge tests on the practical exercises of the subject.
• Lab reports from the practical exercises processed on the base of the given topics.
• Continuous verifying of student knowledge on the practical exercises in a form of debate and inquiries to achieve student active participation in the study process. Identify, deduce, solving variant problems and their evaluation by the students.
• Semestral project – design, acquisition, presentation and advocate of the given project of electrical equipment.
