Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The purpose of this course is that students get an idea of the basic principles of electrotechnics, to a degree necessary for Mining Engineering Faculty graduates. Students should be able to understand the connection between these theoretical principles and practical ways of using electrical energy. Special attention should be paid to practical things that students will need in their future career. Students will also learn basic facts about protection against injuries in electrotechnics, and the most important legal regulations that they can encounter.

Teaching methods

Summary

The subject resumes on knowledge of Basic of Electrical Engineering got at physics. Students are acquainted with solving of electrical circuits, principles of the measurement of electric and non-electric quantities, with function principles and operation properties of electrical machines and instruments; with elements of electrical drives, solid-state engineering, electrical heat and with elements of production and distribution of electrical power. Specifications of concept methods of electric current injury protection are a part of the education too.

Tests from numerical exercises, eventually from chosen theoretical circuits • Term work and projects on a given theme on the basis of selection, investigation, ordering and final compilation of facts and their processing into final form of given theme.

Subject syllabus:

Osnova témat předmětu: 1. Zákonitosti elektrického proudu a elektrických obvodů - základní pojmy, definice a zákony magnetického a elektromagnetického pole (opak. fyziky). 2. Stejnosměrné obvody - spojení, výkony, nelineární obvody. 3. Střídavé obvody - efektivní hodnoty, výkony, - sériové a paralelní spojení R, L, C, kompenzace účiníku, neharmonické průběhy. 4. Trojfázové obvody napětí - definice, zobrazení soustavy, spojení Y a D, výkony. 5. Měřicí přístroje - rozdělení, základní parametry, označování, měření elektrických veličin (U,I,P,W,R,L,C). 6. Elektrické měření neelektrických veličin, princip, rozdělení. 7. Účel, funkce a rozdělení elektrických přístrojů - pojistky a jističe - popis, funkce, provedení, vypínací charakteristiky, elektrický oblouk. 8. Proudové chrániče - popis, funkce, provedení. 9. Stykače, relé - popis, funkce, provedení, základní zapojení stykače v elektrickém obvodu - silové a ovládací schéma. 10. Polovodiče - V-A charakteristika přechodu P-N, diody, rozdělení. 11. Tranzistor, tyristor, triak - popis struktury, druhy, vlastnosti, charakteristiky, použití. 12. Polovodičové měniče - popis, rozdělení, usměrňovače - druhy dle zapojení a řízení, popis, průběhy a charakteristické hodnoty výstupních obvodových veličin pro vybrané druhy. 13. Střídače, pulzní měniče, fázově řízené měniče, měniče kmitočtu, popis struktury, použití. 14. Elektrické stroje - definice, základní zákony, rozdělení, točivé stroje - provedení. 15. Transformátory - konstrukční uspořádání, princip činnosti, převod, úbytek napětí, provozní stavy, autotransformátory, přístrojové transformátory - popis, funkce, zapojení. 16. Asynchronní stroje - rozdělení, konstrukce, princip činnosti, způsoby spouštění, řízení rychlosti a brzdění. 17. Synchronní stroje - rozdělení, konstrukce, princip činnosti, použití, spouštění a řízení rychlosti motorů. 18. Stejnosměrné stroje - rozdělení, princip činnosti, konstrukční uspořádání, použití. 19. Elektrické teplo - vznik tepla z elektrické energie, druhy a popisy jednotlivých elektrotepelných zařízení. 20. Elektrická vedení - druhy, požadavky, hlediska dimenzování, zásady, jištění, selektivity. 21. Druhy rozvodných sítí - rozdělení, systém označování, schémata zapojení sítí TN-C, TN-S, TT, IT. 22. Vnější vlivy - třídění, označování, příklady, krytí elektrických zařízení - označování, popisy jednotlivých stupňů, klasifikace IK kódem. 23. Účinky elektrického proudu na lidský organismus - parametry, meze proudu, základní pojmy. 24. Zajištění ochrany při normálních provozních podmínkách a při podmínkách jedné poruchy - popis prostředků, principy ochrany. 25. Příklady ochrany automatickým odpojením pro sítě TN-C, TN-S a IT.
