Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
After finishing his studies of this subject, student can analyse a drive as a system and design its optimal conception including basic components dimensioning
Teaching methods
Summary
This subject consists of own design of possible drive conceptions, optimal variant selection, electrical power engineering and economics of operating, dimenzioning of power part including analyse and corrective means from the point of view of EMC, designs of control of and regulating type including applications on control system.

Philosophy of the drive design, desing of acceptable conceptions of the drive, optimal variants
Economic points of view for the drive design, analysis of drive efficiency
Dimensioning of the drive power part, protection philosophy, protection drives design
Drive logical control, control of the adjustable speed drive
Negative influences of the electric drives on the mains, the motor and a vicinity
Negative influences elimination, filtering and compensation design
Conception of solving of chosen drives in smelting works and mines
PC using for electric drives design
Perspective ways of the technological control of the electric drives, adaptive control
using models for the control, state control of the electric drives
