Student can determine type of special electrical machine, grasps it function and using in electric drive with reference to its electrical and mechanical properties.

Summary

Student can determine the type of special electrical machine. He is master its function and its application in electric drive with reference to its electrically and mechanic characteristics. The students they are in the subject cognizant of special electrical machines with small load. These electrical machines are used in the computers, in domestic appliances and in car industry. They are synchronous, direct current, alternating voltage commutator, step and electronic motors. Content of study are principles of functions of machines and their structural design.

Lectures: Opening lecture and summary of small machines Induction motor, capacitor motor with capacitive auxiliary phase Capacitor induction motor Induction motor with resistance auxiliary phase, one-phase windings, bifilar winding Electric motors with shaded pole Induction motors of special design Synchronous motors Variable reluctance motors Hysteresis motors Series and universal motor Direct-current motor with permanent magnet Disc direct-current motors, motor with small number of slots electronically motors Stepping motors Electrical machines in motor-car Exercises: Safety considerations, initiation with laboratory equipment. Laboratory measurings processing Credit exercise Laboratories: Measurement motor resistances and commutator motor defects location Measurement operating characteristics on capacitor motor by constant value of voltage Measurement operating characteristics on capacitor motor by constant value of torque Measurement operating characteristics on shaded pole motor Measurement motor heating Credit exercise
