Studenti zvládají základní pojmy techniky plazmatu, el. výbojů v plynech jejich vzniku, udržení a zániku, vlastnostech a praktických aplikacích až po orientaci v oboru termonukleární syntézy.

Summary

Optional course that extends the knowledges of students to the relevant questions of the fourth state of matter (plasma state). The course gives a basic theory of plasma and its characteristics, its rise and its extinction. The basic theory is followed by a chapter dealing with gas discharges and their practical applications. Next chapters clears up applications of the plasma in metallurgy, power engineering, machine industries up to thermonuclear systems and the future of the energy policy of the mankind.

Subject syllabus:

Přednášky: Úvod do fyziky plazmatu - pojem plazmatu, výskyt, zdroje, použití, stavba hmoty, základy kinetické teorie plynů, elementární procesy. Plazma a elektromagnetické pole - pohyb jednotlivých částic, plazma jako směs tekutin, vlny v plazmatu. Vlastnosti plazmatu v termodynamické rovnováze nerovnovážné stavy - elektrická vodivost - tepelná vodivost - difuze a odpor dynamika plazmatu. Záření plazmatu a diagnostika - intenzita záření, spektrální čáry, záření tepelného a jiných původů, hustota záření, tlak záření, absorpce, optická tloušťka, rozptyl, záření v astrofyzice apod. - výpočet teploty plazmatu, složení plazmatu, tepelná vodivost, elektrická vodivost - měření teplot, hustoty elektronů. Technické zdroje plazmatu - systematika výbojů, chemické reakce, sluneční pece, - vysokofrekvenční ohřev, plazmomety. Technické aplikace plazmatu - řezání kovů, povrchové úpravy, MHD generátory, oblouk ve spínací technice - obloukové svařování, obloukové pece - úvod do řešení termonuklární reakce. Elektrický oblouk a jeho modelování - fyzikální teoretické modely - matematické modely oblouku.
