Description of ATM transfer modes, ATM reference model, architecture of ATM system OAM flows, cells with reserved VPI/VCI value, cell synchronization, HEC procedure, transmission rate adaptation, adaptation layers AAL, signaling in ATM networks, UNI AND NNI protocol, signaling interconnection, signaling in public access networks, signaling in network interface NNI, conception of ATM interconnection networks, ATM access networks, public ATM network, public and private ATM networks co-operation, ATM networks planning, users and traffic analysis, ATM network structure design, traffic matrix calculation, dimension of networks, state of standardization, internet protocol over ATM, LAN emulation, ATM and TCP/IP. TMN and ATM networks utilization.

Subject syllabus:

Přednášky: ATM přenosový spojovací princip. Základní vlastnosti ATM přenosu. Výstavba a použití ATM buněk. ATM referenční model. Základní architektura ATM systému, OAM toky v ATM síti, ATM vrstva, ATM buňky s rezervovanou VPI/VCI hodnotou, OAM funkce v ATM vrstvě, spojení typu bod - více bodů. Fyzická vrstva ATM. Přenos ATM buněk, ATM buňková synchronizace, HEC procedura, přizpůsobení přenosové rychlosti, OAM funkce. Přizpůsobovací vrstva AAL. AAL typ 1, AAL typ 0, AAL typ 2, AAL typ 3/4, AAL typ 5. Signalizace v ATM sítích. Signalizační systémy, protokoly na UNI a NNI. ATM signalizační spojení, signalizace v přístupových veřejných ATM sítích, signalizace na síťovém rozhraní NNI. Využití ATM jako službově neutrální transportní sítě. Možnosti zavádění ATM technologie, univerzální ATM základna, koncepce etapy realizace ATM základny, využití ATM sítí pro teleslužby. Služby a jejich nároky na ATM síť. ATM přenosové služby, spojově orientované služby, nespojově orientované služby, multimediální služby. Koncepce ATM spojovacích sítí. ATM platforma, přenosová infrastruktura, technika spojovacích sítí, Interworking, rozhraní, celosíťové funkce ve spojovací síti. ATM přístupové sítě. SDH kruhová struktura pro podnikatelské zákazníky, přípojky pro soukromé zákazníky, síťové prvky ATM sítě. Veřejná ATM síť. Širokopásmová cílová síť, ATM páteřní síť jako univerzální transportní základna, využívání univerzálních ATM uzlů, zásady spolupráce mezi veřejnými a privátními ATM sítěmi. Zásady plánování ATM sítí. Analýza účastníků a provozu, návrh struktury ATM sítě, výpočet matice provozu, dimenzování sítí. Zavádění ATM do privátní oblasti. Vyhodnocení ATM jako síťové technologie pro lokální sítě, stav standardizace, internet protokol přes ATM, LAN emulace, ATM a TCP/IP. Management veřejných ATM sítí. Použití TMN na ATM síť, managementové funkce na úrovni síťových prvků, managementové funkce na síťové úrovni, aktuální vývojové trendy a použití TMN. Management v privátních ATM sítích. Specifické standardy a specifikace, managementové rozhraní a protokoly, ATM projekty.
